Remove Archived Box From Top of WhatsApp
When you archive a chat, the archived box appears at the top of the screen on Android smartphones now. This means the chats will remain hidden even a new message comes to archived chats, unlike before. However, if you don’t want this box at the top, this can be removed using the settings option. Follow these steps to remove the archived box from your chat screen.
Steps to Remove Archived Box
- Open Whatsapp on your Android device.
- If you are searching for removing the archive box, which means you have already archived a chat. So, tap on this Archived box at the top of the screen.
- Now, all your archived chats will be opened on the next screen.
- There click on the three-dots at the top right corner and select ‘Archive settings’.
- Now disable the ‘Keep Chats Archived ’ toggle here. After this is disabled, the archived box will be removed from the top of the screen. This is how you can remove that annoying “Archived” box from the top of the WhatsApp chats. The chats will still remain archived, but when you receive a new message in one of those chats, it will show up on your main chat screen, just like before.
Bonus: Hide WhatsApp with App Lock
If you really want that no one could sneak into some of your private chats on WhatsApp, there are some other more secure ways to do this. And, of course, using an app lock is always a better way to hide all your WhatsApp chats once for all.
Also, you can keep either a fingerprint lock or a different password than your lock screen to make sure no one can reach there even if they know your lock screen PIN or password.
