Just like HTC One E8, Desire Eye is a premium quality plastic smartphone with dual tone styling. It is fitted with an 5.2 Inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels spread across it. These pixels will be rendered using powerful 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 801 quad core chipset with 2 GB RAM, Adreno 330 GPU and 16 GB expandable Internal storage. Imaging hardware is quite interesting. The 13 MP front shooter has its own Dual LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and 22 mm wide angle lens for detailed selfies. A similar 13 MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, 28 mm wide angle lens and Dual LED flash is also present for primary photography. HTC Eye experience compiles several software features for the front camera. The face tracking feature ensures that faces of up to 4 users stay in focus during video call. Split capture lets you combine images from front and rear camera and Crop Me let’s you merge yourself in the scenes captured from the rear camera. You can simply say “smile” to take a selfie. Saying Action will start video recording. Features like Face fusion and live makeup which were present in Desire 820 are also part of the new phone. The phone is running Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC Sense UI on top, out of the box. All hardware will drive its power from a 2400 mAh battery inside.
