OPlus has not only announced its plans of launching the XonPhone 5 in India on Thursday, but it has also revealed its impressive USP. According to this, the firm will be setting up over 350 service centers spread across India and provide door to door pick and drop services for the convenience of its consumers. The XonPhone 5 will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and employ a quad-core MediaTek MTK6582 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz. This processor is paired with a standard 1 GB of RAM to ensure a lag-free and smooth operation along with efficient multi-tasking. OPlus has given the XonPhone 5 a 5 inch HD IPS OGS display carrying a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels and this is claimed to be capable enough of delivering sharp and bright colors. Enhancing these aspects of the phone is an 8 MP primary snapper at its back with auto focus, LED flash and FHD video recording. This is coupled with a 2 MP front-facing camera that will be well suited for video conferencing and for clicking selfies keeping the users with the trend. The interesting aspect of this sub Rs 10,000 priced smartphone is its surplus 16 GB of default storage space of which 12 GB will be user accessible. This storage capacity can be expanded up to 32 GB by means of a micro SD card. Other notable features in the XonPhone 5 include Wi-Fi, GPS, 3G, Bluetooth and dual SIM functionality. It has already been announced that the XonPhone 5 will be made available exclusively via online retailer Snapdeal for the alleged sub Rs 10,000 price range. While such advanced specifications including 16 GB of storage is a rare sight in this price bracket, the handset will be a tough challenger to many offerings from the local and global players.
