Panasonic Eluga Ray Max Specifications
The Panasonic Eluga Ray Max comes with a 5.2-inch Full HD (1080 x 1920) IPS display covered with Corning Gorilla Glass 3. A fingerprint sensor cum ‘Home Button’ sits right below the screen. Powering up the phone is an octa-core Snapdragon 430 SoC. The 64 bit processor has eight Cortex A53 cores clocked at up to 1.4 GHz each. This is mated with the Adreno 505 GPU. Moving on to the memory department, the Eluga Ray Max sports 4 GB RAM coupled with 32 GB or 64 GB of onboard storage. There is a micro SD card slot too. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
Coming to the optics, Panasonic’s latest handset rocks a 16 MP rear camera assisted with a dual LED flash. At the front, there is an 8 MP selfie shooter with a dedicated flash. The Eluga Ray Max can record Full HD (1080 x 1920) videos at 30 fps.

Connectivity-wise, the smartphone supports 4G with VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, A-GPS, FM Radio, micro USB 2.0, etc. There is a 3000mAh battery inside the Panasonic Eluga Ray Max. With a maximum thickness of 9.5 mm and weighing at 165 grams, the phone is quite bulky. Speaking of the pricing, the 32 GB Eluga Ray Max will cost Rs. 11,499, while the 64 GB variant will be priced at Rs. 12,499. The phone will be available in Gold, Space Grey and Rose Gold color option. Panasonic will sell the handset exclusively at Flipkart starting on 1 April 2017.
Panasonic Eluga Ray X Specifications
While the Eluga Ray Max was a mid range smartphone, the Eluga Ray X is more of an entry-level device. The phone has got a 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display. Inside, there is a quad-core MediaTek MT6737 chipset. It has four Cortex A53 CPUs clocked at 1.3 GHz each. The graphics are handled by the Mali T720 GPU. The Eluga Ray X comes with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. It can also take in a micro SD card. The phone has Android 6.0 Marshmallow as the operating system. The fingerprint scanner of the smartphone remains integrated with the Home Button.
At the back of the brand new mobile lies a 13 MP camera with LED flash. The selfie shooter is a decent 5 MP unit. The Eluga Ray X supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.0, FM Radio, GPS, A-GPS, etc. A large 4000mAh battery juices up the smartphone. Being 10.5 mm thick and weighing 193 grams, the handset does not score much on the aesthetics.
